Job Description

About the role

As a Service Engineer Robotics you install, commission, maintain and repair industrial robot installation and PLC integration at customer sites in Lyon, France and beyond. You are the face of ABB on site: you solve problems on the spot, train customer operators and feed back what you learn to the product teams.

What you’ll do

  • Install and commission new equipment at customer sites
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and fault-finding on industrial robot installation and PLC integration
  • Write clear service reports and keep the service system up to date
  • Train operators and support customers by phone and remote connection
  • Work closely with sales, product and spare-parts teams

What you bring

  • MBO/HBO or bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechatronics or software engineering
  • 2+ years of hands-on field service or commissioning experience
  • Fluent English; Dutch, German or French is a plus
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regional
