Europe’s job board for field service engineers

Writing a service engineer CV

A field service CV is read for three things: what equipment you know, where you have worked and how you solve problems on your own.

Lead with equipment and brands

Name the machines, controllers and brands you have installed or repaired. A recruiter searching for “Siemens S7” or “HPLC” needs to find those words.

Show the sites

Food plants, hospitals, substations and recycling plants each have their own rules. Listing them shows you can work safely in that environment.

Add one or two problems you fixed

A short line such as “found intermittent fault on a sorting line that had stopped production for two days” says more than a list of duties.
